I have multiple thermostats and for the past month one won’t connect to Wi-Fi or the app. I’ve tried resetting everything and now won’t even connect for setup. Is it possible that it’s junk and needs to be replaced?

Are you getting an error code?
When you go to Network, does it give you any networks to select from?
How do you have it wired?

It doesn’t find any networks and gives the w5 code. Wiring is just red ad white with no C wire. It worked fine for 2 years so I’m not sure what changed.

You have a heat-only system, and they might work for a few years, but they will start having a power issue without the C wire.
Nest thermostats keep their internal batteries charged by using a power stealing function, and a two-wire heat-only system can't keep the battery fully charged, and after a while, the charge gets less and less.
When this happens, they will shut off the Wifi to save energy. If you install a C wire, your problem will probably go away. If you don't have an extra wire to use as a C wire, then you can use the Google Nest Power Connector and possibly an external 24Vac transformer.
