Linking to google home

How can I link my thermostat to google home if it’s already been installed. My husband set it up under his and now I can’t figure out how to add it to my app

In the Google Home app, has your husband added you to the Google Nest "home/structure" where the thermostat is installed and sent an invitation to your gmail account, and have you accepted and then signed into the Google Home app using your gmail account?
