Low Humidity in House

I’ve been having heating issues in my house since it started getting very cold outside.  We have a 2 story house and added a sensor downstairs years ago since we only have one thermostat in our house located upstairs.  It’s always cold downstairs..69 but 80 upstairs.  The house is never near to the same temperature and I woke up with it being 97 upstairs and 74 downstairs.  I can never set it right.  Because of this, the humidity in our house is at 22%.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Option 1 is to run your fan on continuous. That will mix the air evenly between upstairs and downstairs, though extra energy use.

Option 2 is to install a zone system. Upstairs zone and downstairs zone. This will utilize a damper system to divide the air (upstairs and downstairs)  A thermostat upstairs will control airflow upstairs and the thermostat downstairs will control the airflow downstairs. Any questions?
