We just had our new Nest Learning Thermostat installed yesterday, but there are no hot water controls. I checked other posts and saw that I should look at the Settings/Equipment/Pro set up. This is what I see. The installer is adamant he has installed it correctly. (He is a proper heating engineer and installed our boiler.) What might he have done wrong?

Hey there @Joewrite and thank you for reaching out to us. Let's check on this. Which type of Nest Thermostat do you have (Nest Learning Thermostat 2nd gen/3rd gen, Nest Thermostat E, or Nest Thermostat 2020)?

As it turned out, I didn't realise that when you went to Pro Setup and Hot Water you could change the setting from Not Connected to On/Off. I thought Not connected meant it was literally not connected! So problem solved.

@Joewrite That's just awesome, I am really happy to hear that you sort it out eventually. Is there anything else I can assist you with at the moment?

We have another problem, in that the thermostat is indicating everything is off, but the central heating is on. But I think this will need to be sorted out by the heating engineer with your live phone help.

I am sorry to hear this, but if you consider that I can continue and help you, please don't hesitate to let me know and I'll try everything possible to find a solution. If not, please make sure to get in touch with the installer and let them know about the situation.
Keep me posted and don't forget to ask for my help if you'll need it.
