My iPhone Nest App controls the Nest Learning Thermostat (NLT). But NLT is locked

Dear Customer Service,

My iPhone Nest App controls the Nest Learning Thermostat (NLT). But the NLT is now locked in the sense that nobody can change NLT by hand operating on NLT. This situation creates a serious issue since I and my wife often travel. Meanwhile, my mother (who does not use the smartphone), my father (who does not use the smartphone), and my kids (too young, below the age of 9) are at home. They cannot even change the NLT by hand when they are at home. This situation does not make sense. What are the possible solutions? I personally believe the hand operating on NLT shall override the iPhone App control.

Go into your nest app, settings, there should be a lock / unlock button, click that and enter the pin you setup, you should be good to go!
