My nest has become infuriating

I've been a long time user of nest since before it was bought by Google. I've come to the conclusion that this thing is fundamental broken and the idea for what nest is got lost in the sauce trying to make this more than what it needs to be. The sad part is with like three minor changes it could be fixed almost completely.

 

First off the nest connection issues are the worst out of any device I own and I own a lot of smart home and tech devices the nest constantly saying offline is ridiculous.

 

Second the lack of control of making your own schedule is not acceptable in this day and age you have to adjust individual temps can't copy days and the auto schedule makes so many new entries that it takes far to long to fix a broken auto schedule.

 

Which brings me to the auto schedule or the worst part about the whole system and it should be the best. First it needs a function for one off temp adjustments that it doesn't use data from that don't affect it for those strange weather days during storms or what not. It needs to see the upcoming weather and realize oh I see this will be an abnormally hot day where as last year this same day it was abnormally cold so I won't set the AC to off because that would be frustrating for the user. No it keeps going like this is the exact day last year. 

Also when you make a manual adjust it needs to temp turn off auto schedule for a long period of time maybe hours because the way it works now if it's too hot and you manually adjust the temp it will immediately revert back to auto schedule and then if you try and adjust again now there is a long delay

 

I'm at the point after ten years I think I'm done with meat I've tried every single setting and thing there is and it's just not a good product.

Me and a buddy have a running joke where it will be 98 degrees outside and nest for whatever reason decides we don't want a even though it's sweltering and we send screenshots of the crazy temps nest thinks we want for whatever reason. Seemingly with no idea what it thinks we want ever. The sad part is it will still do wild things with all the smart stuff turned off meaning it's worthless as just a normal thermostat. This thing is a joke.
