Hi Agodly1,

Thanks for posting ― let's get this sorted out.

A few questions: what Nest Thermostat do you have? Check this link to know what thermostat you have. Since when has this been happening? Also, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

Best,
Mel

This one is Brand New 3rd gen. Its definitely off . i taped 2 other movable thermometers next to it and they are right on and on with others . this Nest is off and I cant see how to calibrate it?

Hi there,

Thanks for getting back to us, @Agodly1. I understand that you're not physically near your thermostat to take some steps. Could you at least provide a rundown of all the steps you've tried? Also, you can try these steps when you get home:

  1. Enable the sunblock under the Nest Sense settings.
  2. Check if your thermostat is near a heat source.
  3. Gather the "relative humidity" (abbreviated as "rel. humidity") and "ambient temperature" (current temperature) readouts from Technical Info.
  4. Restart your thermostat.

Please let me know if that helps, or if the issue still persists.

Regards,

Mark
