NEST Learning Thermostat ( Increase approach sensitivity )

I want to increase the "Approach" Sensitivity of my thermostat. It doesn't light up until you get 6 inches from it. I want it to light up any time there is movement in the room. Any help will be appreciated.

I wanted to follow up and see if I could be of any help. If you currently own a 3rd gen Nest Learning Thermostat, you can enable far sight. Here is an article with more details.
