NEST standard thermostats (2) on two zone heat

AB46

I have a two zone heat system, a thermostat controls each zone. They share a 24V/40VA transformer. Upon installation of the first NEST thermo, I was notified that I needed a C wire and received a NEST power connector in the mail. Can this power connector be installed at the zone valve wiring where both zone valves meet and be shared by both thermostats? My AC system is a seperate system and not involved here, only heat. Thanks in advance for your help. AB46

Each Nest Thermostat will need its own power connecter to work. A link is created between the power connection and the thermostat.

Thank you Patrick...if I may ask, does that mean I need to have a seperate xformer for each and does each zone valve now need to be isolated from each other...they are interconnected to the same x former now...I appreciate your advice...thanks

No, you don't need to have a separate transformer.

What type of zone controller do you have?

I do not believe I have a zone controller...The xformer runs to both zone valves then each thermostat wire is connected to it's respective zone valve...all the wiring is visibly open right below the zone valves

AH, sounds like you have a valve zone controller.

Can you post a picture of it and its wiring?

Patrick...I am new on here and I appreciate all your previous responses...it seems to me that this thread went cold...I have added photos as per your request and a hand drawn schematic of my wiring...if i am out of line, please let me know but i am still in limbo about how to address my issue...Thanks in advance...AB46

Hello folks,

I know it has been a while, but I wanted to ensure that everything was covered here.

Thanks for the help here, @Patrick_Caezza.

@AB46, for best results, I'd suggest that you contact any local technician near you for immediate support. If possible, please contact the company that handled your initial installation. However, if you prefer to use a different installer, you may contact a Nest Pro. Feel free to let us know if you have more questions in mind.

Regards,

Mark
