NEST thermostat randomly follows schedule.

NEST thermostat won’t follow schedule sometimes. For instance it will say that it is holding the current temp until 8:30 and then 8:30 comes along and it won’t switch to the night temperature. I have done a full reset and redone the scheduling (which is very basic with a day temperature that starts at 6am and a night temp that starts at 8:30pm. After the full reset it decided to use the night temperature even though it was 1pm. My other nest thermostat has no issues.

We were having this happen last week.  The thermostat seemed to be following its own schedule and not the ones we had set up. It turned out that we were somehow enrolled in Seasonal Savings through Nest Renew.  Even the Help screens won't direct there. Look for Nest Renew in Settings to make sure you aren't signed up. So far that has fixed our problem.

Thanks for the recommendation. Checked this morning, and we are not enrolled. The thermostat just doesn't want to change out of whatever preset its in, even though it says that it has a change coming up at a specific time.

Nest Thermostat (Thermostat-1.4)

The issue started a month or so ago. Oddly enough I figured a workaround. I added a second temp change in the morning 1 hour later at the same temp and a second evening temp change an hour later at the same temp.  I haven’t had time to see if it actually doing all 4 preset or just 2 but at least it’s hitting the day and night temperatures. Really odd behavior.
