Hi Folks

I have business heating cooling system in my office.

When I opened the old thermostat I have these wires -

I was hoping someone could confirm the mapping between this and the Nest (3rd gen) please?

(followed the prompts on the app as well...still not cooling?)

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Hello folks,

I wanted to ensure that everything was covered here.

Thanks for assisting, @Patrick_Caezza.

@Mikeaus, thanks for posting the photo of your thermostat's wiring. To determine its compatibility, could you confirm the terminals behind the blue and purple wires? Also, what's the make and model of your HVAC system?

I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,

Mark

Thanks for the help here and sorry about the average photos. The system is a heating and cooling unit approx. 25 years old.....works well. It's by a company called EmailAir. (one word).

The current thermostats are over complicated - 12 buttons no info of the buttons really or manual 😞

Many thanks for the help again, cheers Mike

Hello there,

I'm sorry for the delay. Your system is compatible with a Nest Thermostat, but the wires connected to your thermostat are stranded wires. You may be able to contact a local HVAC professional to cap, solder, or replace stranded wires with a solid core wire, which will work with the Nest Thermostat. The method may depend on your local electrical code requirements.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Regards,

Mark
