When I set a temporary hold on the app or thermostat, then add an end time, it doesn’t turn off, it continues to hold the temperature beyond the end time. Did both a reset and restart, removed and added thermostat, still has the issue. Any ideas?

Hi Googoomuck,
Thanks for posting. I understand that you are experiencing some issues with the hold time feature on your Nest Thermostat. But don't worry; help is here. I just need to ask for some information.
Please keep me posted!

I have the basic Nest thermostat. I did not get any error messages. I tried setting both a separate 15 and 30 minute temporary hold but neither shut off and returned to the scheduled temperature after the hold period, I had to manually change the temperature.
Technical information
Model: Thermostat-1.4

Hi Googoomuck,
Thanks for your response and the information. In this case, you can try disabling learning features on your Nest Thermostat and then setting up the Hold Temperature again.
Here are some things you can try:
Home/Away Assist: Disable Home/Away Assist, as this can cause unwanted temperature changes.
Eco Temperatures: If using Eco Temperatures, ensure they are set appropriately or turned off.
Clear Schedule: Delete or adjust any scheduled temperature changes in the schedule settings.
Please keep me posted.
Best regards,
Jenny
