Nest 2nd Gen unresponsive

I’m wake up today and steep in front of the thermostat and notice a green light flashing in upper side of the thermostat, I take a look on app and was disconnected from around 8 hours, try all suggested things because apparently is not responding to an update or something like that, unplugged, plugged back, wiring is fine getting 28 volts, not reset, restart or respond at all, just blinking green light when attached to base, also using a micro usb power cord wont said charging or something, please any hard reset or something to wake up this unit.

i have the exact same result, woke up this morning and NEST is offline 17 hour ago.  Screen is stuck with Home Sign and you can not access settings.  I have tried all of the remedies on line and still just the home page.  The WIFI in house is working fine for all other devices.   Is this 2nd Gen unit broken?

I've reviewed the information you provided, and I have a few more questions to ensure I can provide the correct troubleshooting steps:

  • What's the software version of your thermostat?
  • Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the thermostat?
  • Can your other devices find your Wi-Fi network name (SSID)?
  • Has there been any recent change in the home Wi-Fi network?
  • Do you have other Nest Devices with the same issue?
