It is perplexing to me that one of the most intelligent thermostats on the market lacks a basic feature, Temperature Calibration Offset . I have verified with environmental lab quality traceable temperature sensors that our installed Gen 4 Nest Learning Thermostat reports about 5 degrees Fahrenheit warmer that actual. In the vast majority of temperature control devices, including thermostats, that I have used in my life offer this basic feature. Conceivably, this would easily be remedied through a software update. I would sincerely appreciate the effort if Google Nest engineers could remedy this issue. Thank you

Hi Melvis,
Thank you for reaching out to our community.
I’m sorry to hear that after you verified with an environmental lab quality traceable temperature sensor that your Gen 4 Nest Learning Thermostat reports about 5 degrees Fahrenheit warmer than the real temperature. No worries; it is my pleasure to assist you.
Before I start further troubleshooting, let me ask you a few questions:
In the meantime, I'd appreciate it if you could check the WiFi signal strength by going to Settings > Technical Info > Network.
Additionally, please check the ambient temperature with a thermometer and take a photo of the thermometer next to the Nest thermostat to see the difference in readings.
Thanks for your attention. I will be looking forward to your answer.
Best regards,
Virna
