I have 8 wires as follows:
yellow: Y
black:Y2
green: G
light blue: O/B
brown: C
red:RH/RC
White: W/E
grey: W2
How is this configured for the nest gen3?

Based on this information, your system is compatible with the Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd gen). You can install the wires in the following way:
- Yellow: Y1 terminal.
- Black: Y2 terminal.
- Green: G terminal.
- Light blue: O/B terminal.
- Brown: C terminal.
- Red: Rh terminal (removing the jumper is not necessary with the Nest thermostat).
- White: W1 terminal.
- Grey: W2 terminal.

Additionally, make sure the orientation for the O/B wire is set to "O."
