My thermostat is set on 80. But the house will not heat up past 73. I have changed the filter, turned off the gas, and power to the furnace for 30 mins, I deleted the thermostat from my google account and started over. I have changed the batteries, rechecked the wiring as well. Our house is only 2 years old. Everything is new, we have only lived her for 1 year on the tomorrow. What am I not doing? I don't want to call hvac for something simple, and pay an arm and a leg for 5mins of work! Can someone help me out please?

@Thatonecat82, @Cerrie Have you gone to your furnace a verified that it is continuously running? That is if it is a gas furnace, the gas burners remain on. Or, are they cycling off and on.?

Yes cool air blows when the heat isn't. Also when the heat isn't running its like warm, but not hot, like in my car. If that makes sense. I had used the emergency heat setting with some success. But after a while it started doing the same thing. After I deleted and reinstalled the thermostat. The emergency heat option was no longer available. So right now I have no schedule, the comfort level on 78° and the thermostat at 81°. But the house is at 67° right now and the heat has been running all day.

Sir all I know is its gas. I see Honeywell 36j55-255p1 on a sticker when I take the panel off. The front of the panel says Comfort-aire. We did a factory reset on Saturday. All of Saturday and Sunday it ran like a champ! Come Monday morning the house is an icebox. The thermostat reads 79° but the actual temp was °62. Today it's up to 67° again but will not go higher in temperature.

@Thatonecat82 , I am trying to help you take the necessary steps to identify the root cause the source of the problem.
what we’re trying to determine is if the gas furnace is short cycling, and the blower fan keeps running because it cycles on and off. That 36J55-255 is the gas valve itself. Your comfortmaker model number is on the outside of the cabinet typically on the right side panel.

The only sticker on the outside was for the ac I think. Comfort-aire MCG3036TB4P
R410A TXV INSTALLED
Max 450 psi
That's all I see.

@Thatonecat82 , that part number is only the cased evaporator coil. The blower fan unit with the gas furnace cabinet is normally below or on top of the coil case. look for the cabinet the gas pipe and thermostat enter.
