Nest 4th gen won’t connect to Google home

Whenever I attempt to connect my nest, it stops at the somethings wrong part with .80 as the issue I’ve tried to stabling IPv6. I’ve tried port forwarding. I’ve tried factory reset and nothing seems to connect to my Google home. I can see on my network that it does connect to Wi-Fi temporarily but always end up at the something wrong page. Please help.

Hi @JoeyM87,

We appreciate you contacting the community. I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Thermostat is giving you trouble, but don't worry—help is on the way.

We appreciate all of your previous troubleshooting efforts to connect with our community. I am aware that you did a factory reset on the Nest Thermostat. I need to know a few things about your thermostat in order to provide you with a better resolution.

  • Does the thermostat display show any error codes or messages?
  • Does your network have 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz?
  • When was the thermostat installed?
  • What is the make and model of your HVAC equipment?
  • Do you see a blinking LED light? If so, is it red or green?

Keep me in the loop, and I can assist you with next steps.

Best regards,

Jeremy.
