I recently upgraded my google router from google fiber which caused me to create a new wifi network. And that means adding all of my devices back to various accounts.
I used to be able to control my Google nest 2nd Generation Learning thermostat via Alexa however now I can't seem to. I also have a nest camera. Both the camera and thermostat are so old that they can only be add in the old nest app. I can successfully add both to the nest app, BUT only the camera is showing up in the home app.
Interestingly enough, only the camera is controllable with alexa now. I assume that the problem is the thermostat isn't appearing in the home app.
How do I get my thermostat to appear in BOTH the nest app AND the google home app so that I can (presumably) control my nest thermostat with Alexa?
Thanks!

Woah!!! disregard... after adding and removing the thermostat several times from the nest app, it now appears in the google home app. Cool!

I see that you seem to have sorted your issue but for your info -
I had issues connecting a new stat to Google Home app when already connected to Nest app.
I solved it by changing the room in the Nest app to an unused location.
This made it show up in the Google Home app and work with voice commands.
Once it was working I went back to Nest app and changed location back to correct location.
