Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd Gen has lost the ability to connect to my wifi

About a month ago my Thermostat started showing offline on my Nest/Google Home Apps. I have been trying to use the guides provided to get my device working again and after about a month of troubleshooting I have come to the conclusion that my device is faulty or broken in some way. None of my other devices have any issues connecting to my Google Home Wifi system and the settings are all set for the easiest connection options. I need help figuring this out or a replacement device sent to me. It worked wonderfully for nearly a year before it all of a sudden started refusing to connect or find the wifi.

I have same issue. Google have said my nest thermostat has gone faulty and i need to buy a new one at full price. They deny this is a common issue. Furious is not the word....

Basically having same problem- my unit worked great for just over 2 years- then suddenly started to disconnect from wifi - have now spoken to nest support 3 times - they say unit is fine and it has to be my internet connection- but nothing has changed - everything else I run off wifi is working 100% - unit does run fine when I disconnect wifi - so I now have no idea what to do - any suggestions welcome
