In cooling mode, my thermostat turns the off and on in rapid cycles after running the AC for about 5 minutes.
At first, it seemed to be a temp sensor issue so I turned off all the fancy settings in the app to see if that helped. It didn't. I then unplugged the unit, left it off for 10 seconds or so and plugged it back in. This seemed to work, the thermostat showed about and hour to get the temperature down to my setting but after about 5 minutes it started turning off and on again. To make sure I repeated the unplug and replug with the same result.
I will admit, I was bad at install and didn't take a photo of the previous wiring. But I did check the unit circuit board wiring and got things corrected for the heat. This is my first time using the AC since install.
I've never owned a smart thermostat before so any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello Cabw,
It sounds like you're experiencing some issues with your Nest Thermostat during cooling mode. Rapid cycling can be frustrating, but it's great that you've already tried a few troubleshooting steps.
Since unplugging and replugging the unit temporarily resolves the issue, double-check the wiring against the manufacturer's instructions or seek professional help if needed. Taking a photo of the wiring during future installations can also be a helpful reference. If the problem persists, gather your thermostat's power readouts in the Technical Info settings. This would help translate what's happening.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Best regards,
Mark
