I attempted to install the Nest Learning Thermostat in my home but it doesn’t seem like it’s getting enough power. Looking at the app on my phone, it’s showing an error and saying it’s not getting power from the RC wire. Maybe I’m wiring it incorrectly? I don’t think I should have to charge it before use? I’m a little stumped on this one…
my current system looks like:
I tried the following wiring with no luck:
R to RC
T leave disconnected
O to O/B
G to G
Y to Y1
X2 to *
B to C
W to W2
I eventually reinstalled the old system and it worked so I don’t think I blew a fuse or anything. Not sure if I need a professional at this point?
Thanks for any advice!

Hello Weefaloo,
Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.
The common wire may not be properly grounded, so the system uses power sharing but doesn’t get enough energy. If possible, try installing your Nest Thermostat without the C-wire and leaving it disconnected, then follow the same wiring setup you've given above.
Please let me know how it goes.
Regards,
Mark
