I purchased 3 Nest Learning Thermostats in March for our new HVAC system. We have 3 zones: two downstairs and one upstairs. I've turned off as much AI as I can on all of them: Home Away/Assist, Auto schedule, Eco, Sunblock, Airwave...I think the two thermostats downstairs have finally stabilized but the thermostat upstairs allows the temperature to rise to 80 degrees when I have had it set to 68 for days. That's a huge temperature swing. I have to keep readjusting it throughout the day and it still allows the area to heat up. Then it takes hours to cool down again. This cycle is replayed day after day. I read a response to a post (describing this situation) that Nest Learning Thermostats don't have a "set it and leave it" status option but product development is working to provide users with this functionality. Seriously? One would think this would be the best place to start when designing a thermostat. The default. I don't want to teach this product anything. I want it to do what I tell it to do every time, all the time. It's a device, not a therapist. It doesn't need to figure me out or help me. I don't want to create a relationship with it. I just want it to work so I can go about my day and be comfortable in my home office. Being able to control it through an app is...meh. Being able to create complex schedules***eye roll***. Having it learn the habits of my household is completely pointless unless it can maintain the temperature which is what a thermostat should do. It's been a part time job researching, crawling through community posts, adjusting, reconfiguring, monitoring and just waiting for this thing to figure out I want the temperature of my home office to be cooler than 80 degrees when it's 92 degrees outside. I'm not sure if I can get my money back since I bought these in March. However if this issue doesn't resolve itself in the next couple of days, I'm replacing these devices with plain ole everyday thermostats that will keep a room at 68 degrees. I will not be recommending this product to anyone.

Hello Debragraces23,
Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry.
A temperature difference could be normal as different thermostats calculate the temperature differently, especially when installed in different areas. But I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.
To isolate:
If you haven't tried anything yet, let's give these steps a whirl:
Please keep me posted.
