Nest Thermostat E keeps turning on nonstop

I purchased two new Nest Thermostat E for my home and the one connected to my hallway and is the main one keeps turning on nonstop even if I set a high temperature hold. Because of this issue my house is always freezing throughout the night and my electricity bill is getting higher by the minute.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Hi @Thisguyhere851 ,

I can completely understand how frustrating it must be to deal with a thermostat that's driving up your energy bill and leaving you feeling cold. It's no fun coming home to a chilly house, especially after a long day. And the added worry about skyrocketing energy costs is just another layer of stress.

Let's work together to figure out what's causing this problem and get your home comfortable again. I'll need to gather some additional information in order for me to isolate the issue:

  • How long have you had the Nest Thermostat E?
  • Have you made any recent changes to its settings or configuration?
  • Are there any error messages displayed on the thermostat?
  • What type of HVAC system do you have (gas furnace, electric heat pump, etc.)?
  • How old is your HVAC system?
  • Has it been serviced recently?
  • Are there any unusual noises or behaviors coming from your HVAC system?

Once you have provided the information I’ll be more than glad to provide further assistance.

Best regards,

Josh.

Hello @mejiacruz ,

I decided to just do a factory reset on the Nest thermostat E and I ended up getting the Nest thermostat Learning instead and I am not having any issues at all with the new model.
