Nest Thermostat Family - Cannot add member

This is beyond frustrating, 

I just want to add my wife to our "family" so her phone can also be used as a control device for our nest thermostat. When I leave the house it goes into Eco and she freezes.

I have invited her, she has accepted.

She cannot get access to any of the themostat devices, she cannot add the devices unless it is a completely new setup.

I have tried in home, in Nest, it just makes no sense why the "Home app" even exists.

I have read a bunch of posts about similar issues but no real solution.

We are both using Android Ultra 20 notes, this process should not be this difficult.

Any help appreciated

Thanks for posting here in the community and we're sorry to hear about what's happening.

Here's a few to further isolate the issue:

• Have you created a structure or home in the app? If yes, could you check if you can see this home/structure from your wife's app?
• It is possible that your wife's account has been logged in to a different home/structure. 
• Try to switch structure from your wife's app if possible.
