Spent the last 3 days trying to figure out a Nest Thermostat failing to see any wifi networks, following Google's troubleshooting. Today I spent another 25min on a call repeating previous actions with a tech. The end result was being told the thermostat needs to be replaced and advised to buy a new Nest Thermostat because it's outside the 2 year warranty.
This experience makes me 100% not want to purchase Google products again. If they break fine, but it taking multiple days to get to the point where they tell you it's broken and needs to be replaced is frustrating as hell. The last thing I want at the end of these 3 days was to replace a tech toy with the same exact product, instead of buying from a reputable company.

Both videos have the same problem I do. Both of them got their devices replaced, but the videos are 3 years old.
There are multiple reddit posts with same issue as well. I wish I had checked those first before wasting time following Google's "troubleshooting", which does not mention the possibility of the device being bad at any point.
