Nest Thermostat displaying "Save more at home"

Next button doesn't work. How do I clear this?

Mine just start saying that too!  It's like it's frozen on the display, can't operate from it.  Annoying!!

Came home at 1040 PM and found the same words on my Nest.  Can make no adjustments on the Nest itself, but the app seems to let me adjust the temperature.   

What's going on, Google??

Smacked the thermostat a couple of times on the side and the message went away.

Back to it's normal indication.

I thought I had tried tapping the side before and it didn’t work. However, today, I took it off and removed the batteries and  replaced them. I reattached the device and then when I tapped the side, it moved on to the next screen.
