Hi, @Mamoun,

Thank you so much for reaching out to the community. I’m truly sorry the Nest thermostat is not heating up. I’m happy to help you and find a solution.

To effectively troubleshoot, please share the following information:

  • What type of thermostat do you have?
  • When did your system last receive a professional maintenance check?
  • Did you create a schedule with your thermostat?
  • Are you located in the US, Canada, or Europe?
  • Is it displaying any error code?
  • Does the thermostat screen indicate that it’s actively calling for heating?
  • Did heating ever work with the Nest thermostat?

This information will help me to provide you with accurate troubleshooting steps. Thanks in advance.

Keep me posted.

Best regards,

Ana

Hi, @Maries,

Thank you for your response and for providing all the information requested. I’m truly sorry your system is cooling instead of heating. I’m happy to assist you further.

To effectively troubleshooting, I’d appreciate if you could share the following information:

  • Does the issue happen on heating only, cooling only, or both?
  • Is this the first time you're activating heating since the season changed?

In the meantime follow these troubleshooting steps:

  • Check the Google Home app routines. Ensure no Google Assistant routines are interfering with your thermostat settings. Check out this article: Change Home & Away Routines settings.
  • Ensure wires are fully inserted: The wires may not be making a proper connection with the terminals. Make sure at least ¼ to ½ inch of the copper wire is exposed, straightened, and fully inserted into each of the required connectors. If necessary, Strip and re-insert the wires.

Please let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Ana
