I have just learned that Nest Thermostat series 1 & 2 are no longer supported, and I have one of both, a friend of mine received an e-mail offering a discount on series 4 units, however I did not. I have checked my spam and trash folders and it is not there, is there a way I can have the e-mail sent to me, or is there a way, or someone I can contact at Nest and or Google?

I didn't receive an email either so didn't get a chance to reset the program. Appauling service from Google discontinuing hardware that still functions, terrible for customers and terrible for the environment.
