Nest Thermostat with Google Home

Regarding the Nest to Google migration....  My Nest Learning Thermostat has already been installed and is connected to the wall.  Is it at all possible to retrieve the original 6 digit code (in back of the thermostat) or QR Code without taking the thermostat off the wall?

No unfortunately, you will need to take it off it's base.

Okay, thanks...  I didn't think I could just take off the base without wires attached to it.  I see it's not.
