Nest Thermostat

I purchased and installed my Nest Thermostat last Winter. When I turned on the AC on my thermostat, the it was blowing hot air, while the rest of my non-Nest thermostats were blowing cold air.  I flipped the circuit breaker which resolved the issue. Then we had a cold spell and we ran the heat for a few days, and the same thing happened when I switched the thermostat to AC. I have confirmed that I connected the wires correctly. Now what do I do?

Hi @smp4vt,

Thanks for posting here in the community and I'm sorry to hear about this strange behavior between heat and cool mode. I'm happy to help you with this concern.

To gather more information, I'd like to ask a few questions:

  • What type of Nest thermostat do you have?
  • Are there any error messages? If so, what are they exactly?
  • What kind of HVAC system do you have? (Heat pump, conventional system, etc.)
  • Has this behavior happened since the first installation?
  • When was the last maintenance service and cleaning?

Please keep me updated.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
