Nest Thermostat

Need help with wiring.  Have a single stage heat pump.  Current Honeywell thermostat has the following configuration:

Y

O/B

R

Aux (jumped together with E)

E (jumped together with E)

L (will omit, seems like it is not necessary, provides system status etc.)

I'm being told by a representative that I should connect my current O/B wire to the W on the nest? Why doesn't that go to the OB on the nest?  Also, what do I connect the Aux / E too on the nest.

Thanks in advance

Give this wiring a try.

Blue - C to C

Yellow - Y to Y1

Orange - O/B to OB

Red - R to Rc (jumper to RC not needed)

White - AUX to W2 ( set to AUX heat, jumper to E not needed)

Black - L to not needed tape off

Thanks for the reply, just so I fully understand the white wire will go into the W terminal.  I don't have a W2, as this is the nest thermostat and not the learning thermostat.  Appreciate your help. Thanks
