Nest gen 4 setting - early-on

I just replaced my Nest gen 2 thermostats with gen 4 ones. 

Firstly they are large, ugly, obnoxious. Get a gen 3 if you can. 

Secondly, there is no early-on setting, starting to heat based on room and outside temps to get it to the desired tempo by the scheduled time.  Maybe it is covered by Net sense - Smart schedule, But that is not explicitly stated. 

Any ideas?

I understand how difficult it might be not to find the setting that performs the Early-On function to start heating in time to reach your desired temperature. I'm glad to help you resolve this.

To use the Early-On setting, please follow the steps below:

• Open the Google Home app.
• Tap Favorites or Devices.
• Touch and hold your device's tile.
• Tap Settings > Temperature preferences > Early-On.
• Turn on heating or cooling early when you’re at home.
• Turn on heating or cooling early when you’re on the way home. (Note: Home & Away presence sensing and location sharing must be enabled for this option to work.)

Same problem here. I just installed the 4th Gen and it is terrible. Not as user friendly as my Nest 3rd Gen.  No Temperature preferences > Early-On.  But I have Temperature Presets only.  No early-on options.
