Nest heat link is clicking on but not firing boiler

SJM101

Hi, I know this question has been asked a number of times but I don't see an answer for when there is heating and hot water. My boiler worked fine with previous programmer (drayton lp722), the boiler controls heating and a hot water tank. I've installed nest thermostat and heat link. When I increase the temperature on the thermostat the heat link clicks but the boiler doesn't fire. On the hot water side it doesn't seem to be doing anything (isn't clicking). Any help appreciated..

Hi  SJM101,

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the situation that you are experiencing with your installation process with the Nest thermostat and heat link. But don't worry; help is here. In this case, you can upload a picture if you click on the camera icon when you start a conversation; you can see it in the picture below:

My boiler is not firing up despite the fact that the NEST is on

Hi AFIDZEGMAILCOM,

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the situation that you are experiencing with your boiler that is not firing up, including if the Nest Thermostat is on. But don't worry; help is here. In this case, I just need to ask for some information to provide the best solution:

  • What type of thermostat do you have?
  • Do you see any error code?
  • When did the issue start?
  • Did you have any power outages recently?
  • Is this a new installation?

Please keep me posted. I'll be waiting for your response.

Best regards,

Jenny
