Nest heat link

Ady

We are installing a nest thermostat and heat link when we power on  we can use the stat to bring heating on and off and when rooms are up to temp heating is switched off. My problem is that as soon as I turn power onto the heat link it closes the N/O contact for water without being called at the thermostat

any advice welcomed

Hi there @Ady

Thanks for reaching out. Depending on the type of heating system that you have, the wiring needs to be accordingly to the installation guide here: 3rd-gen-Nest-Learning-Thermostat-Install-Guide-UK.pdf

Also, if the hot water relay is the one that's constantly closed, most probably the bacteria prevention feature is active. You can learn more about it and how to turn it off from here: How the Nest thermostat helps prevent Legionella bacteria

Let me know if you need more help.
