Out of the blue my nest thermostat has stopped working. The thermostat is reporting error t72 "can't connect to heatlink". The heatlink itself has no lights on, and doesn't respond to power cycle or reset procedure. There appears to be power to the heatlink terminals but no voltage sent out to thermostat. The boiler is fed of the same fused circuit and is ok.
What next? How do I get heating restored?

Hi Thanks for your reply. I'd run through all the checks, as you suggest, and more from the Nest website. I've now taken this up directly with Nest Tech Support, who have agreed the heatlink is faulty and have arranged an exchange.

Hi there @Neil_C,
Thanks for letting us know.
Could you tell me please when did the situation start occurring first and when was the thermostat installed?
Also, please answer to the following questions:
Does the boiler activate when calling for heat by pressing the Heat Link's button to activate Manual Mode?
Are you seeing any wiring report or error on the thermostat and/or the app?
Have you had any recent power cuts in your area? If yes, has the power been restored?
Have you recently had service or maintenance on your electrical, plumbing, or heating system?
If yes, how long was the power off for? (Be specific.)
Could you tell us please if you've checked on the breaker switch and fuse box?
Any blown fuse in there? Have you tried to turn the breaker switch off and on again? Any difference?
