Nest keeps powering off

I have had 2 Nests in 2 of my previous houses and they both worked great. I purchased 3 Nests for my office about 3 years ago. The past year they intermittently turn off saying they need to recharge. Weird. Never happened in my house and I have lived in my current house 10 years. So back to my office... We recharge them overnight and then a few days later they turn off again. I had my AC guy come check the power and he says its fine. He even mentioned that he replaced the wiring in one of the units when he installed a new AC a few years ago so its not the wiring. Are they defective?

@jgordon

How are the three Nest thermostats wired?

Can you post a picture showing each thermostat's base wiring?

Are you controlling three separate HVAC units? One per unit?

It sounds like the HVAC units are using a proprietary 2-wire interface.

It would be best to post a picture of the original thermostat's wiring here.
