Nest learning thermostat failure and ridiculous wait time on replacement

Slammy16

I had my nest learning thermostat for 5 months and then lost all wifi connectivity, contacted support and my case was started.  After trouble shooting they decided to send me the wiring base of the thermostat not the display which to me was not the answer.  I replace the base and as predicted same wifi errors, they ask me to send back base and then a new display will be sent out immediately when they receive it.   We are now over a month from when this all started, the thermostat still functions somewhat but now is rebooting and does not save my temperature settings and takes a good 30 seconds for the display to be operative when I want to adjust anything.  I have pretty much given up on getting a replacement and about to go buy a Honeywell smart thermostat.  This is ridiculous
