Can anyone help please?
Just had a new boiler fitted with the nest learning thermostat, although I have set the schedule the heating only comes on at the time on the schedule (on the hour) then it seems to get upto temperature then cools back down.... Then only comes back on the hour again....
How do I keep it "ticking over" and maintaining a set temperature until I decide to turn it off?

Maybe, the auto schedule is ON for this device. That means you'll have to reset the schedule for your thermostat.

Hi, thanks for the reply.
I have turned off the auto schedule, that was my thought....
But its as if it comes on when the planned schedule tells it (on the hour) gets up to temp then switches off until the next schedules time (on the hour) and so on....

Have you reset the schedule? even if you turned off the auto-schedule but the schedule is still there, then your thermostat will still follow those schedules.

But how do I get it to stay on after the schedule passes its "fire up" point....

I believe at this point you'll have to set the same temp in different time within the same day if you want it to stay on that temperature, or you can turn off auto schedule, erase the schedule you have and just let it stay to your target temp throughout the day.

Thanks for the messages, unfortunately I am no further with the issue.... My next step maybe to look at changing the thermostat to an alternative manufacturer....

Hey there Ste68blue,
That no good to hear... If you would like, we can have you speak with Nest Support regarding this. You would just need to fill out this form to have them reach out to you via email. Just let me know if you decide to go that route.
Best regards,
