I have a nest learning thermostat that won't turn the compressor on in heat mode intermittently if I reset the thermostat wire setting from 0 to B it will work but I leave the house and one day later it will not turn the compressor on. I have verified the with to the compressor is good. I believe it is a software problem or setting in the thermostat. I have a upstairs and downstairs thermostat and the upstairs has no issues working

yes the thermostat was fine it is supply the needed 24 volts to the compressor and the compressor would run for a minute then go into soft lock out (it was 1/2 pd low on Freon)
problem solve. then sometime when it was energized the system would run just fine
