Nest model Diamond 1.13 thermostat. Want to set fan on air only at high speed

Hello and thank you for responding to my question.

Nest model Diamond 1.13 thermostat.  I believe this is the learning thermostat.

Have a Lennox dual speed fan furnace.

Do NOT have Air Conditioning.

Want to run the fan at the higher speed so air circulates at higher setting though the house.  Currently it runs on the low setting.

Not finding how to make this work on the Nest Thermostat.  Only shows fan icon and amount of time options to run the fan.

Thank you.

Hi Gardenvine,

Thanks for posting in the community! I can definitely help you get your fan running faster. Here you have this article to Fan control with a Nest thermostat.  Could I get a photo of your Nest Thermostat? I'd like to confirm which one you own. In advance, let's try these steps to change the fan speed:

  1. Press your thermostat ring to open the Quick View menu.
  2. Select Settings Nest settings icon.
  3. Select Fan.
  4. Choose System fan speed.
  5. Select the fan speed you'd like to use when your system is heating or cooling your home. Depending on your system, you may see Low, Medium, High or Auto, if you have a multi-speed fan.
  6. Choose Done to set your system's fan speed.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Axel.

Hi Alex.  Thank you for your reply.  We decided to contact the installer of our furnace and they were able to run a fan wire from Nest to the furnace to just run the fan at the higher speed without using the furnace.  Not sure if a different version of Nest (we have Model Diamond 1.13) you are referring to has more speed options.  What we have now allows us to set the fan to run for a set amount of time, then turns off.  We are satisfied with the results.

Thanks.
