Nest not detecting wires

I installed thw thermostat but its been giving an error (m25 and 261)  (wire C and W aren’t being detected) im not sure how to fix this

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Nest Thermostat because it is not detecting wires (C and W) and showing the error codes M25 and N261. Don’t worry, I’m happy to help.

The M25 error code indicates trouble with the Nest Power Connector during installation, and the N261 error code means your C wire is getting low power.

To provide you with accurate troubleshooting steps, please help me out by answering the following questions:

  • What model of thermostat do you have? To identify the device, refer to this article: How to tell which Nest thermostat you have. 

  • Is it a new installation? 

  • Are you also trying to install a Nest Power Connector?

  • Can you please attach a picture of the wiring system connected to your thermostat?
