My nest thermostat constantly reads circa 1°C higher temperature than actual temperature in the room and, more annoyingly, sometimes it has sudden jumps of readings, e.g. from 18.5°C to 20.0°C almost instantaneously. Just a constant temperature offset in reading wouldn't be a problem - although you don't expect this from a very expensive thermostats - but the sudden changes in temp reading can cause the system to not go off and not warm the house when needed!
Is there any fix to this?

Hey giusgior,
Thanks for posting.
A few question:
What type of Nest thermostat do you have?
When was the thermostat installed?
Where did you install your thermostat? (in a room and on a wall or stand)
Do you have other active Nest thermostats? If yes: Do they show the same issue?
When did the issue start?
How big is the difference between the readout of the Nest thermostat and your thermometer or other thermostats?
Have you tried any troubleshooting steps? If yes: Would you mind listing them?
Give these steps a try:
Go to Settings > Technical Info > Network.
Check for the Signal strength value.
Restart the thermostat
Turn on Sunblock
Check if the thermostat is near a heat source
Keep us posted.
Best
Mel
