Moved my Nest to control my 2nd floor heating zone (hyrdronic forced hot air of off a boiler) and it's behavior has changed. The aquastat is set to 160 degrees to ensure that the blower doesn't kick in until it is hot enough (eliminates cool air blowing out initially) but once it hits the target temperature the nest keeps the fan running until the water in the coil fully cools down below 160. This can take 10-15 minutes so I end up with my upstairs being 3-4 degrees warmer than what I've set for. With the older (not smart) thermostat I had in place the fan would shut off pretty shortly after reaching temp.
My HVAC company is looking for a setting in the Nest that will allow it to turn off the fan after reaching room temp instead of fully relying on the aquastat's signal. How can this be addressed?
