Nest stopped certain commands

Hello! My nest thermostat has been working flawlessly with my Google assistant. The Google Assistant will still change the temperature and let me know what the temperature is and any given time, but the only thing that it has stopped doing was it will not allow me to turn the thermostat off or on when I ask you to turn off the thermostat, it tells me if I want to control lights. I need to set them up and the Google Home app. I can turn the thermostat off in my app, but I cannot do it with a verbal command. I’m lost and I don’t wanna start from scratch. What am I missing? This just started happening. It’s worked fine for ever. I did a restart on the nest thermostat and I updated the Google Home app. Please help thank you

I don't know what happend in the last few days...but my Google home is not recognizing the nest thermostat anymore. I've had the thermostat and the Google home devices for multi years now....all of a sudden the nest thermostat cannot be controlled by my Google home assistant or from my phone's google assistant..?

Google assistant all of a sudden won’t work with thermostat. I can ask it to turn the temperature up or down and it will work but it will not respond to “hey google turn off my thermostat” or “hey gooogle turn off/on hallway” it will not work via google assistant on my phone nor will it work on my nest hub I keep getting “this device is not set up” in various ways. I have reset both thermostat and hub, factory reset both, remove thermostat from google home & re adding it. Asked google to sync all my devices. It worked before when I would say “hey google turn off my hallway or thermostat” but all of a sudden it hasn’t been working. What the hell & I can’t find a contact number to speak to someone from google directly to get this resolved.

Currently, the phone number is no longer in use. To get in touch with us, visit our Contact Us page and follow the prompts until you reach Contact Options. Then select “Get a Call” or “Chat.”

My Honeywell Thermostat has worked with Assistant just fine for years (set to cool, set to heat, turn off, colder, warmer, etc). This week however, I cannot turn it off. "Hey Google, turn thermostat off" used to work, but now I'm told "Those lights have not yet been set up". Other times I'm told "To control your thermostat say 'turn the thermostat off'." Saying those exact words again tell me those lights have not yet been set up. In the Home app my thermostat is named "thermostat". Frustrating, and I don't know the secret phrase to make it work again.
Thermostat in a room according to the app. Each of my three speakers (one in same room, two in other rooms) give the same or similar responses.

Google nest voice command does not work when you tell it to turn on and off the thermostat. Searched this forum and I am not the only one having issues with voice command with no resolution.

Mine to, thermostat for fireplace can no longer be controlled by Google home. Says lights haven't been setup.

I have discovered that you have to say "SET the thermostat to off" and it works again. "Turn the thermostat off" prompts me to set up lights, but "set the thermostat to off" works.
