Nest sunblock not working

mcelveensteve

Sunblock is not working. Thermostat gets direct sunlight between 12-1pm. Causing thermostat temp to rise inappropriately.  I’ve turned this feature on and off.  There’s no other heat source in the wall.

Hi mcelveensteve,

Thanks for the response. I'd love to know more about this and I have a couple of questions:

  • When did the issue start?
  • Are you only experiencing inaccurate ambient temperature reading when it's getting direct sunlight?

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Edward

this is the first time I’m using sunblock.  And yes I only experience inaccurate ambient temperatures when the device is in direct sunlight.

Hi mcelveensteve,

Thanks for the response. Have you tried leaving Sunblock enabled for a few days? Sunblock needs a couple of days to learn about the sunlight in the room and make adjustments to the temperature readouts.

Thanks,

Edward

Yes it’s been on for about a month.
