I have been a nest app user for years and I am now trying to use google home app..but because I have already been installed and this is attached to an account it won't give me a 7 key digit entry key numbers, this is turning into a nightmare, any help out there would be greatly appreciated. I can't believe how much I used my app and now it has been removed. I need to attach it to google home

I have the same issue.  Is this migration even necessary for the next app to work?  I seem to be able to do what I need to in adjusting the schedule and monitor the temps even with the notice of the need to migrate. I prefer not to migrate. So is that ok?

Hello everyone,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd love to help.

If you migrate your Nest account to a Google Account, your experience with your Nest home and products will change. Migration is optional and, once completed, isn't reversible, so it's important to understand the changes migration will bring before you start. Check out our FAQs about accounts for the Nest app.

The Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd generation should appear in the Google Home app as long as you are signed in with the same email account that was used with it, and there's no need to add it as a new to link. You can verify the email address used in the Nest app before checking it in the Google Home app. Also, you might have another home structure; check where the thermostat is available.

Let me know if you need more help.

Regards,
Mark
