Nest thermostat app

I have 2 thermostats many many miles apart, each with their own home.  Up until a week ago everything was fine. Now all I get is the screen showing either Home or Away with a + sign. If I touch the Home it switches to Away and vise versa. It will not let me get in to adjust the temperature, set schedule or switch from heat to cool. It won't let me past that screen. This is the same thing on my phone or tablet. Resetting the distant thermostat is not an option.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with accessing your devices using the Google Home app. The screen that you're seeing means that there's no device linked to your account. To isolate the issue, could you check the Google Home app if you're logged in to the account where your devices are linked to?

Hi, I'm not sure what you were asking me. Up until a couple of weeks ago I had full access to both of my Nest thermostats. Then one day I cannot control either. In the APP I see them both but I get the screen that shows Home with a +, if I touch the Home it switches  to Away.

Just now I went to my thermostat and tried settings. It said not connected to the APP. I followed the instructions to reset it from the APP and then added it with the QR code. So this one is operating properly. My other remote thermostat is not able to do that as it is physically too far away.

Thanks for the update. I'm glad to hear that you were able to reconnect your thermostat to the app. Not really sure why it got disconnected but we would need to do the same thing on the remote thermostat to be able to control it again in your app.
