Nest thermostat changes modes on its own

We have our thermostat set to heat. It is 28 degrees outside and might snow today. I woke up this morning with our thermostat on cool and the house 55 degrees. This has been happening every night for a week. I have the auto scheduling turned off, and I did a schedule reset and it’s still happening

Hello kavanaugh29,

I'm sorry to hear about the ongoing issue with your Nest Thermostat, especially with the cold weather outside. It seems like you've already taken some troubleshooting steps by turning off auto-scheduling and doing a schedule reset, but the problem persists.

Given that you've already tried these basic troubleshooting steps, it might be a good idea to delve deeper into the thermostat's settings. Could you share with us a screenshot of your Energy history showing the days when the issue happened? There could be a reason for the unexpected behavior.

In the meantime, you might consider checking the Routines in the Google Home app for any thermostat actions available and removing them.

If you need any further assistance or advice, feel free to reach out.

Best regards,
Mark
