Nest thermostat compatibility

Ace123

Hi,

Can you tell me if my existing wiring attached is compatible with a nest thermostat? (not the learning version)

With regard to the existing jumper wire do I insert the wire used in the jumpered connection into the nest W1 or Y connection hole?

Thanks

Edit: I can't seem to post a photo of my wires ...hmmm

Hi @Ace123,

Thank you for your timely post and sharing the information you've provided. In this case you need to do the following: Follow the same connections that you gave in your post, and it is not essential to connect the jumper wire between Y1 and W1.

In addition, you can check out this article to follow: Install your Nest thermostat.

Let me know how it goes and keep me posted.

Warm regards,

Jeremy.

So which wire should be connected to the nest thermostat Y1 or W1?

If they are not jumpered I assume only one would be connected.

Thanks for your response.
