Hi this is probably not an advisable feature to have as it would unnecessarily deteriorate the Nest thermostat screen much faster. If you are trying to read temperature details as soon as you enter the room where the thermostat is installed without having to get close to it, just enable Farsight. On your thermostat, go to settings -> Display -> use farsight option.
